My Latest Project
When my mom's washer died this summer, I spent a day at the laundromat and one of Justin's shirts must have gotten tangled in the high-temp dryer somehow b/c a little bit on the shoulder looked like it melted and got a hole in it.
Either way, it was ruined.
But it was a nice Nike Dri-fit shirt that was otherwise in good condition and I hated to just throw it away. So I used it to make these:
No I did not think of it myself. A while ago my friend Emily posted on her blog some pants she made for her son out of a t-shirt. So I searched around and found the directions online and made my own.
I even worked in the Nike swoosh and the University of Phoenix logo from other places on the shirt.
I think they turned out great! I was proud of myself and Logan was a great model!
Click here for the link where you can find the instructions. They are really easy. The hardest part was using my mom's sewing machine that is much fancier than mine.

Children's Museum
Bob the Builder has been at the Children's Museum all summer and we finally made it downtown to see the exhibit. It wasn't anything wonderful, but the boys liked it. Tolan and Scoop
Logan, Tolan and Muck
I think this one is called Roley

The museum had all kinds of things that are a nightmare for whoever has to clean them up at the end of the day. Here they are playing in some sand....
and some water!
they give you little raincoats and even some crocs so your shoes don't get wet. We passed on the crocs...
Afterward we went to BRAVO for some yummy Italian. Austin hardly has any Italian (Olive Garden doesn't count), so we were happy to be back at Bravo. However, our server misunderstood our order and brought a mac n'cheese and an order of fries for EACH of the boys instead of one to share. So we had TONS, but that mac n' cheese was sooooooo good!

Picnic and a Wagon Ride
There is a couple in my parents' ward whose grandchildren are well past the age of thinking tractor rides are exciting - so they invited us out for a picnic and ride on the wagon behind his restored 1940-something John Deere tractor last night. We completed the picnic with some marshmallows over the fire. "Marshmallow" is one of my favorite words that Tolan says and it sounds more like "mosha meadow." I love it.
"OH NO!" is his new favorite phrase - can you see it coming as his mosha meadow falls off the stick?
Logan was cool with his marshmallows though. He even tried roasting it himself.
Big bite
After we ate we loaded up onto the wagon.
My parents came along for the ride too.
As you can see, we didn't just go for a ride through a field - We went off-road over the hills and through the woods!

Thanks to Brother and Sister Morrison for a great evening!
