Christmas Pictures

We actually took the time to take a picture all together. This is the best one we got and I'm happy with it. We also tried to take pictures of just the kids. Logan was being kind of a stinker so we didn't get any good ones of him, but Tolan was really loving the attention and being so cute, so we got some great ones of him, which is usually pretty hard to do.

Christmas Day

As you can see, between the two sets of grandparents L & T had quite a Christmas morning! I think they were a little overwhelmed at first, but they love their new cars and other gifts too!

Logan checked out the truck first...

Then they looked at the Jeep

Tolan was liking his turn in the truck
He got his new shades out of his stocking and went for the firetruck next
Thanks to our parents for the great gifts!

Christmas Eve

We went down to Justin's sister's for Christmas Eve.

These are all of L & T's cousins. After dinner we attempted to do a little play of the Nativity along with the scriptures. Well you can imagine how that went when all the kids wanted to get to this part:
A bird's eye view of the craziness of the cousins' gift exchange

I'm trying to help L & T open some presents. They were pretty excited!

The End of the Dinosaur

We got a new camera for Christmas - woo hoo! So I'm finally pulling these last pictures off of our old dinosaur of a camera.

Justin's birthday was a month ago, but these are the peanut butter cup cupcakes & card I made for him.

Here are some of the cinnamon roll Christmas trees I made again this year. I made 10 this year - I was supposed to make 14, but ran out of time and had to make something simpler & less time-consuming for Justin's HT families. They weren't shorted though - they got chocolate chip cookie dough brownies, it just wasn't as Christmasy.

I will post Christmas pictures later!

What is your husbands name? Justin William
How long have you been married? our 4-year anniversary is in a few weeks
How long did you date? 4 months before we were officially engaged. (no wonder my dad wanted us to wait till spring to get married! that sounds crazy!)
How old is he? just turned 28
Who eats more sweets? definitely me!
Who said I love you first? Justin
Who is taller? Justin
Who can sing the best? Justin is the karaoke star in our house
Who is smarter? depends on the topic

Who pays the bills? Justin, but he has been transitioning me into the process
Who mows the lawn? Justin, but I did do it once so he could do homework
Who cooks dinner? Justin is actually a really good cook, but I always make dinner - except on Mother's Day & my birthday - then he plans & cooks a whole elaborate day of meals
Who drives? usually Justin, except when I pick him up from work
Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? I don't know about admitting he is wrong, but he is definitely first to apologize. I like to stay mad
Who kissed who first? after just getting out of a long-term relationship Justin just wanted to "take it slow" but he did eventually kiss me, although I wouldn't call only 4 months of dating before getting engaged "taking it slow"
Who asked who out first? Justin asked. we went to dinner, drove golf balls & went to karaoke (at a bar - i like to tease him that he took me to a bar on our first date)
Who wears the pants? depends on what it is

Trunk or Treat

We had L & T go trunk-or-treating with all of their cousins and Grandma & Grandpa at Justin's sister's ward. I made Logan's Batman costume and Tolan wore Logan's monkey costume from last year. Logan was pretty tired, so we didn't get a lot of pictures of him b/c he spent most of the time sleeping in the car and sitting in the stroller, but Tolan had us chasing him all over the place.

They apparently take trunk-or-treating seriously in their ward, yes there is a trunk under there. Needless to say, Logan refused to go and get candy from this car.

Tolan, although unsure about this mummy, is a little more fearless about this Halloween stuff

He was a monkey, but a lot of people thought he was a lion, especially when he wasn't wearing the hat. Same thing last year when Logan wore it.

We each chased him around the parking lot at least once.

Still wandering around...

Grandma & Grandpa Shook's Visit

Justin's parents were here visiting this past week, and we were busy doing lots of things. Justin took a few days off of work and we got to go to the temple one day, the cannery another day, and we got to go on a date to the movies one night. Logan & Tolan spent lots of time playing with their cousins and we got to eat tons of good food - Mesa Rosa, Chuy's, and Salt Lick. Since grandparents were here I was able to go for a kid & stroller-free run each morning instead of the usual walk with the double stroller, which was great since since we ate so much this week...

One of the days we decided to treat Logan to one of his favorite things - the "bounce-bounce"
Logan was too busy to have his picture taken & it was hard to get a good one of Tolan too, but they had a good time

New Pictures

We still haven't found the camera cord, but we can plug the memory card into our printer and get the pictures off that way. It's just a lot easier to do it with the cord. Anyway, here are some pictures that have been sitting on the camera. These are just some pictures I took one day at lunch. Tolan was super messy and Logan just wanted his picture taken too.
These birds are so annoying. They are all over the place here and one day the entire population decided to land in our neighborhood. This picture doesn't even do it justice b/c this is just one shot of straight ahead, but it looked like this up and down the street. I hate those birds.

Camera Cord

I know I need a new, more interesting post. As soon as we find the camera cord I will post something!

Dishwasher Safe

Time for a new post....tired of that picture popping up of Logan looking like he's riding the short bus. So the other day I noticed this huge warning on our box of dishwasher detergent written exactly like this:

CAUTION: MAY CAUSE BURNS TO SKIN AND EYES. HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Incase of external contact, flush with water for 15 minutes and get immediate medical attention. If swallowed, give large quantities of water or milk. Call physician immediately.

Scary! They let us wash our dishes with this stuff? There has to be residue left behind. Not to mention that Tolan loves to come over & stick his finger in the little granules when I'm pouring it into the dispenser - I guess I should have washed his hands all those times for 15 minutes and then gotten immediate medical attention....well he's still alive, but I guess we are all slowly being poisoned...

Like Grandfather, Like Grandson

This is a picture of Logan in the car today before and after church.

(Luckily, he didn't insist on wearing this into church)

Later on in the day we got an email from Justin's parents with some pictures of his dad on his new motorcycle.
Like grandfather, like grandson I guess.
While we were fishing that picture of Logan off the cell phone, we uploaded the other ones too. Here are a few old, random ones:This is another thing Logan insisted on wearing. He wore this hat & mittens for at least 3 days straight this past week. We're in Texas....its still in the 80's & 90's outside.

Ready for some xBox

This is Justin next to a giant shopping cart, with a motor

This is what happens at 6:00 when you have 1:00 church & no nap

LG = Life's Good

I was cleaning up after dinner today and walked past the laundry room and saw something like this:Logan had climbed inside our washer. Not sure how. But he was having a great time. The washer is an LG, which I am pretty sure stands for Life's Good. And life was good for Logan as he discovered that the he could rock the whole drum back and forth, and was having a great time rocking around in there. I don't think he did any damage, but its one of those times where you hesitate to take a picture b/c you don't want to encourage him to do it again - or do it to his little brother. Don't call CPS, I'll just have to keep the door shut on it. It closes pretty tightly; I even have to give it a good tug to open it, so I doubt he could open it.
