Dishwasher Safe

Time for a new post....tired of that picture popping up of Logan looking like he's riding the short bus. So the other day I noticed this huge warning on our box of dishwasher detergent written exactly like this:

CAUTION: MAY CAUSE BURNS TO SKIN AND EYES. HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Incase of external contact, flush with water for 15 minutes and get immediate medical attention. If swallowed, give large quantities of water or milk. Call physician immediately.

Scary! They let us wash our dishes with this stuff? There has to be residue left behind. Not to mention that Tolan loves to come over & stick his finger in the little granules when I'm pouring it into the dispenser - I guess I should have washed his hands all those times for 15 minutes and then gotten immediate medical attention....well he's still alive, but I guess we are all slowly being poisoned...

I often wondered about this too. I have heard if you have cancer to wash your dishes in dish soap in the sink, not the detergent because of the chemicals. Kinda scary to limit it to cancer patients, what about the rest of us?

That is scary. I am trying those new cascade 2-in-1 tabs. No granules to deal with or that get left behind. We'll see if they work any better.
